On occasion we are asked to prepare biological samples for university customers. These are often to be used with the synchrotron. The finished product must be polished and about 100 micron thick and glued with superglue so that the samples can be removed from the glass slide and used as a wafer. Alternatively the samples are to be placed on quartz slides.
